Insurance Requirements
Local Landscaping Partners (LLP) only activates providers who carry current, professional insurance. This page lists the general minimums. Exact wording and certificate details live in the Provider Agreement.
Minimum Coverage to Join
Commercial General Liability (CGL)
- $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate
- Must include products/completed operations and contractual liability.
Automobile Liability
- $1,000,000 combined single limit
- Covers owned, non-owned, and hired autos.
Workers’ Compensation (as required by state law) and Employers’ Liability
- If legally exempt/no employees: Occupational Accident with employer’s liability at similar limits where permitted.
You must upload current proof of coverage before accepting jobs and keep it continuously active.

When Extra Coverage May Be Required

Snow & ice services:
policy must not exclude these operations; higher limits may be requested on commercial sites. -
Chemical applications (fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides):
Contractors Pollution Liability (typ. $1,000,000). -
Large hardscape/commercial projects: Umbrella/Excess Liability (typ. $2,000,000) may be requested.

Design/stamped plans:
Professional/Design Liability if applicable.
Local Landscaping Partners will flag any extra requirements during onboarding or before assigning those job types.

Current certificates of insurance for CGL, Auto, and Workers’ Comp (or Occ Acc if eligible). Renewal certificates before expiration to avoid pauses.

Subcontractors
If you use subs, they must carry the same minimums. You are responsible for collecting and keeping their current certificates.
Lapses & Non-Compliance
Expired or insufficient insurance may result in account pause, job reassignment, and delayed payouts until proof is updated.
